Linares family Exhibition Bibliography

“En Calavera: The Papier-Mâché Art of the Linares Family”, Fowler Museum (UCLA)

November 1994 – November 1995 · Fowler Museum of Cultural History, UCLA · Los Angeles, California

Exhibition and catalogue (Susan N. Masuoka) devoted to three generations of Linares family cartoneros, with emphasis on skeletons and alebrijes.

The catalogue remains the most complete bibliographic reference on the family in English. It documents Pedro Linares, his sons Enrique, Felipe and Miguel and his grandsons Leonardo, Ricardo and David, and is the source of most of what is known about the exhibitions of the 1980s.
