Artisans of the Linares family
Pedro Linares López created the alebrijes; his son Felipe Linares Mendoza carried them to sculpture; Felipe’s sons work today in independent workshops. These are the profiles of the family’s artisans with works and records of their own on this site.
In the Linares family each member has their own workshop and makes alebrijes in their own style. The profiles below gather, for each artisan, a biographical sketch, the works attributed to them and the archive records in which they appear. The other members of the family are in the family tree on the legacy page.
